Sarah Morgan is an award-winning Landscape Designer accredited by the Society of Garden Designers. Sarah has spent over 30 years working with clients, architects, developers and contractors to develop a design ethic that produces landscapes that are visionary, stimulating, purposeful, and considerate of long-term management and maintenance requirements.
As a teenager Sarah worked in a commercial nursery, involved in shows and exhibitions of internal and external spaces in order to pursue her childhood passion and interest in plants and design. On completing a BSc (Hons) Degree in Horticulture at Wye College (1983), Sarah progressed to the management of planting schemes with a local authority before establishing her own Garden Design and Consultancy Company with private and commercial projects in the UK and abroad.
Throughout her career, Sarah has recognised the importance of training Landscape Consultants and Designers to have a firm knowledge and understanding of designing with plants within a sympathetic structural framework. She was Programme Leader at University Kent at Canterbury for the PG Diploma in ‘Garden History, Management and Design’ (1994-1999); Head of faculty, Landscape Horticulture and Design, and Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Garden Design at Hadlow College (2009-2014), and lecturer in Planting Design at the University of Greenwich.
Sarah works home and abroad on design projects and is currently researching and implementing schemes that have design flexibility to adapt to site and environmental changes.
